Employment
The port of Ghent counts 68,340 jobs*, of which 26,185 are direct and 42,155 are indirect jobs. This represents 15% of employment in the province of East Flanders. The port comprises some 300 port-related companies.
Added value
The port generates an added value of 7.4 billion euros*, 3.4 billion euros of which are direct added value and 4 billion euros are indirect. Consequently, the port provides for 20% of added value in the province of East Flanders.
